During the event period, you can master a new profession in Klondike. Become a geologist! Set out to Longdale and try yourself in this exciting role. Learn a new skill and restock your supply of useful resources!
Story[]
Spring in the Klondike is a time of renewal and joy. Cows moo fervently, rabbits happily crunch cabbage, kittens hunt eggs in the grass, followed by the roaring chickens chasing the kittens trying to take away their eggs. A pleased raccoon jumped out of the barn and handed me his findings: a worm and a pair of bent nails.
"Clever." I told the raccoon as I scratched the back of the small animal and pulled out a handful of blueberries "Take care, kid."
Raccoon rinsed blueberries in the fountain and joyfully munched on the delicacy.
"Clever," grumbled Blind Echo "How is he clever? It finds a bunch of useless stuff."
"Why, nonsense!" I said, "Yesterday, for example, he brought a coin. Gold."
"It is rather an exception to the rule. That doughnut snack will result in it bringing you some pink ribbon. You don't get the things you need." Echo bent over the raccoon, "Not that." The raccoon snorted, quickly finished chewing blueberries and stared at my friend.
"Echo, get off it. What he likes, he likes. What do you think he should find?"
"Anything valuable. Oil, for example. Well, if not oil, the clay, ore, coal, after all. Coal. Do you understand?" Echo shook a piece of anthracite coal under the nose of a raccoon. The animal thoughtfully took the coal in his paws, sniffed and went to rinse the coal in the fountain. "Do you think he understands what he should do?"
"Echo, a raccoon will not bring you coal. Exploration and mining is not an easy task. It takes people years to study geology, and you're wanting a raccoon to do it."
"Geo ... what? Aah, I understand this, it is where the shaman shakes a tambourine during a full moon, and then the bravest warrior of the tribe shoots the arrow, and she points out where to find the treasure," said Echo.
"Er...well, something like that. Look, let's go tomorrow and see how real geologists are working. Maybe we will find something to dig up."
Event Tips[]
- Event rundown:
- A new timed location has opened near your Home Station.
- Equipment Needed to travel: Kerosene lamp.
- The Storage is already there, so you don’t have to be worried about losing anything.
- There are 2 major tasks in Longdale.
- In Longdale’s Storage you can craft Detectors; you’ll need them to find deposits of useful resources!
Step 1: Make a detector in the Research Centre, place it on the ground and activate it. After 15 minutes the arrow on the detector will show the direction to a deposit.
The arrow indicates the direction of the deposit.
The lights show how far away the deposit is.
Red = far away
Yellow = medium distance
Green = close
Step 2: Make another detector, place and activate it so you can find the location of the deposit. It will be where the lines from the arrows intersect. Where the lines intersect place a third detector.
If you have found a deposit there will be bricks shown above the third detector. Click on the bricks to build a Geological Station.
Note that the lines do NOT show in the game, you have to imagine where they are

This location will disappear on its end date no matter when you first visit it. Make sure to bring all treasure back to home station before the travel period is over!
